Can WooCommerce handle car rentals without a separate system?

Yes. ARB adds car rental booking directly to a WooCommerce product. Reservations, pricing, and payment all run inside the store's own checkout, instead of a separate system.

Is there a free WooCommerce car rental plugin?

Free and repository options exist but cover only basic date-picker rentals. ARB is a one-time paid CodeCanyon license, around $55, not a subscription. Nulled or GPL copies exist but skip support and updates.

Can I rent by the hour and by the day?

Yes. ARB's Reservation Duration supports customer-defined slots in minutes, hours, days, or months on the same product. A store can offer hourly and daily rentals side by side.

How does ARB stop two customers renting the same car?

Max Reservations per Slot caps capacity per time slot, and per-resource availability ties that cap to one specific vehicle. An optional vacant period adds a buffer for cleaning or turnaround between rentals.

Can I charge less for longer rentals or more on weekends?

Yes. Cost Add-Range rules key off slot count for length-of-stay discounts, and date range for weekend or seasonal surcharges. Both recalculate live through AJAX as the renter picks dates.

Does ARB take a security or damage deposit?

No. ARB has no native refundable deposit feature. WooCommerce's own Rental Products plugin and KestrelWP both ship native deposits at $199; a manual charge or a separate deposit add-on covers the gap.

Can renters add insurance, GPS, or a child seat?

Yes. These attach as Person Types or extra Resources, each with its own price shown on the booking form. They charge as an add-on line, not a refundable deposit.

Which payment gateways can I use?

Every gateway the WooCommerce store already supports, including PayPal, Stripe, Square, Amazon Pay, PayFast, eWay, Cheque Payments, Bank Transfer, and Cash on Delivery.

Can I require approval before a rental is confirmed?

Yes. Confirmation-required checkout holds the payment method until an admin approves the booking. Request for Quote mode lets the admin set a custom price before the renter pays.

Does ARB track vehicle returns or mileage?

No. ARB has no native return-tracking, check-in, or mileage field. Returns get managed manually from the reservation admin, and mileage or odometer data has to live outside the plugin.
